Vicky qualified as a Teacher in Wales in 2007 specialising in Early Years. She joined Rye Primary as Early Years Lead in 2014 and leads the school Village Project. Vicky teaches across foundation and loves her days in Minnows classroom. Her other responsibilities include running the moderation groups for the EYFS in the area and coordinating the local Early Years Hub for Excellence. Vicky is currently completing her NPQML qualification.
Fran has worked at Pugwash Nursery for 13 years. She was promoted to Deputy Manager in September 2015. Fran is a Key Person, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Health and Safety coordinator, she is also Paediatric First Aid trained. She qualified in 2008 with her NVQ Level 3 in Early Years Care and Education. Fran's area of interest is Maths.
Deputy Manager & SENCo
Katie has worked at Pugwash for 8 years, she was promoted to Deputy Manager in September 2015. Katie is a Key Person, SENCo and Designated Safeguarding Lead, she is also Paediatric First Aid trained. She passed her NVQ 3 Children's Care Learning and Development in 2011. Katie is currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education.
Katie has worked at Pugwash since 2002. She is an experienced practitioner working as a Key Person. She qualified in 2002 with a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. Katie has an interest for developing early literacy focusing on Phase 1 phonics. Katie leads on our health and self care development and is Paediatric First Aid trained.
Trish has been a member of our staff for 10 years and qualified in a City & Guilds Level 2 in Children and Young People's Workforce in 2012. She is a Key Person, is Paediatric First Aid trained and has a passion for creative learning activities.
Sophie joined us in 2016 and is currently working towards her Level 2 Child Care NVQ, she also has a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Sophie is a Key Person and is Paediatric First Aid trained. She is ISTD qualified, leads our Physical Development and has a passion for music and movement.
Michaela joined us in 2016 with her Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Early Years Education. She is Paediatric First Aid trained, is a Key Person and is leading the Integrated Progress Review for 2 year olds. Michaela is currently studying Level 4/5 Higher National Diploma in Early Years Education. She enjoys messy play and her experience with primary aged children enables her to support transition for our school leavers.
Carly joined us in September 2016. She is an experienced childminder with a passion for the outdoors. She is a key person, paediatric first aid trained and leads our outdoor provision.
