Killer Whales and Stingrays had an amazing time on their trip to Camber Waters yesterday.

They started the day by walking all the way to Camber Castle. The children then did some 'ditch dipping.' This involved using a fishing net to find animals in the ditch. They then put them in small containers and investigated the animals they had found. Barry from Rye Harbour Nature Reserve was able to help them identify a saucer bug, water beetle and water scorpion among many other animals.

After lunch the children then used binoculars to watch birds feeding, swimming, diving and resting. they identified birds such as swans, swallows and ducks.

Later on the children went on a mini beast hunt using the school's new science equipment. This was great fun and the children even managed to find dragon flies and moths as well as Antony the ant!

The long walk home certainly tired the children out but they were still fantastically behaved. Well done Year 4!!
