Christmas Week at Rye Primary!

Christmas Fair

We held our annual Christmas Fair on Friday and as usual the event was very popular! There were Tombolas, Raffles, Competitions, Refreshments to name but a few, and some lucky parents went away with arms laden with prizes.

Santa and Mrs Claus managed to find time in their very busy schedule to drop in and excited children were able to go along to see them and receive a present!

Thank you as always to our PTA for all they have done in arranging the event.

Key Stage 1 Nativity

We would like to say a huge well done to our Year 1 and Year 2 children for the amazing performances which they put on last night and this morning for parents, relatives and friends.

The traditional Nativity and festive songs were brilliant, as were the costumes.

Mary and Joseph were at the door to collect donations at the end of the performance with all money raised being donated to Mary's Fund.

Thank you to parents too for all your support.

Early Years Foundation Stage Christmas Sing-a-long

Our Reception and Nursery children thrilled parents, relatives, friends and staff with their Christmas performance.

They sang a medley of festive songs including, 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star', 'In Came Mary', 'Sleep Little Baby', 'Away In A Manger' and 'Christmas Dinner'.

They sang all the songs beautifully, but I think everyone will agree 'Christmas Dinner' was their favourite!

Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day

We have some amazing Christmas Jumpers in school this week. Everyone looked very festive!

Here are just a few photos, and we will let you know how much we have raised for 'Save the Children' once it has been counted.

Staff have also joined in with the fun, and as you will see there is a festive photo of Mrs Stonham who celebrated a very special birthday on Tuesday. Happy Birthday Mrs Stonham!
