The Stormont Awards is an annual event run by the Trustees of Rye Art Gallery. This year, the theme of 'FISH' was given, which was very exciting . From the classes that produced amazing art work, 25 were selected to be submitted to the competition. These 25 artworks will be exhibited in Rye Art Gallery from 4th-13th of November .

The art work has been judged alongside entries from other local schools by a panel including artist Louis Turpin, Dani Humberstone and Jane Fenn gallery director. A Winner, Second Place and 3 Highly Commended works have been chosen from each age category. We are proud to have some winners!

We are so proud of our young artists and the creativity our children confidently display.

Please support our school and artists by popping in to this beautiful local gallery if you can.

On Saturday the Mayor presented prizes to the winners, two of which were Rye Primary students. Today we have received a lovely message from Rye Art Gallery "I just wanted to send a brief email to say a huge thanks to all of you for your support in making the Stormont Awards so successful.  The turn out on Saturday was beyond my wildest expectations. Seeing the children and parents so chuffed with having their work on the walls in the Gallery made me realize just how important events like this are."

Thank you to all the children and the Rye Art Gallery for a successful celebration of local Art.
