The assembly this morning was a sea of yellow as we commemorated the St Michael's Hospice Yellow Day!

We welcomed Marcia, an Ambassador for the Hospice, who explained to our KS2 children the reason they have a Yellow Day is because most people associate the colour yellow with a hospice.

Marcia gave a very informative talk about what the charity offers in the Rother area as well as the fact that it costs over £15,000 a day to run the Hospice, which is the same as 25,000 chocolate bars!

The Hospice is run by a team of 200 staff members with over 1000 volunteers.

Thank you for all the donations today, we are sure you will all agree the money is going to a very worthwhile cause. Here are a few photos from today!
